The 5^th day

We had a wonderful day today. Everything was nice!

We looked after domestic animals at the farm, watered garden trees, walking in the field around the camp, played baseball, watched films.

But the most attractive part of our program was discovering William Shakespeare’s sonnets world. This world of poetry is full of lyrics, philosophy, inspiration. We felt how hard the work of a poet can be because we were trying to construct the whole sonnet from its strophes.

This creative work made us think in a poetic way and reflect on the most important things in the life of every man. 

День пятый .

Сегодня у нас был замечательный день. Всё было хорошо! Мы ухаживали за домашними животными на ферме, поливали деревья в саду, работали в поле за лагерем, играли в баскетбол, смотрели фильм.

Но самой увлекательной частю нашей программы стало обнаружение сонет Уильяма Шекспира вокруг.

Этот мир поэзии полон лирики, философии, вдохновения. Мы почувствовали, как трудно занятие лирикой потому что пытались составить сонету из строф.

Это творчество заставил нас думать в поэтической форме и отразилось на самых важных вещах в жизни каждого .

The 6^th day

Today is Saturday, it’s our sixth day in the camp.

Our English is getting better and better as we are speaking this language all the time: while doing our morning exercises, doing our duties (in the kitchen, on the farm, in the garden and in the vegetable garden), communicating at our classes and after them.

A very nice present of today was an ice-cream, which was eaten by the pupils quickly and with joy.

And an excellent end of the evening was dodgeball tournament, gambling and memorable.

Шестой день

Сегодня суббота, шестой день пребывания в лагере.

Наш английский становится все лучше и лучше, потому что мы говорим на этом языке все время:
делаем ли мы зарядку, выполняем ли наши послушания (на кухне, на ферме, в саду и на огороде), общаемся на занятиях или после них.

Приятным сюрпризом сегодня было мороженое, радостно и быстро съеденное всеми учащимися.

И отличным завершением вечера – турнир по вышибалам, азартный и запоминающийся.

The 7^th day

Today is Sunday. We went to the church in Shekshovo, where took part in the Liturgy.

On coming back we watched the cartoon “The Iron Gigant” and then had a captivating contest  - we created sculptures of sand.

In the evening all the teams took part in the concert where poems, songs and scenes were presented.

It was an extraordinary performance!

Седьмой день

Сегодня воскресенье. Мы ходили в храм в Шекшово, где участвовали в богослужении и причащались.

По возвращении мы смотрели мультфильм «Железный великан», а затем был интересный конкурс – мы создавали песочные скульптуры.

Вечером все отряды участвовали в концерте, где были представлены песни, стихи, небольшие сценки.

Представление получилось отличное!

The 8^th day

Today is fantastic! There’a a wonderful weather in the camp, and everyone is in good humour. We had our English classes, made our duties, studied the life of Venerable Sergiy Radonezhskiy. After our quiet hour we went to the river and swam enjoying warm water and bright sun. And in the evening we had velotlon: a captivating competition with bicycles and firing from air rifles. This contest unified the teams a lot.

Восьмой день

Сегодня потрясающий день! В лагере отличная погода, и у всех отличное настроение. Мы занимались английским языком, выполняли послушания, изучали житие преподобного Сергия Радонежского. После тихого часа мы ходили на речку и купались, радуясь теплой воде и яркому солнцу. А вечером у нас был велотлон: увлекательное соревнование с велосипедами и стрельбой из пневматических винтовок. Этот конкурс очень сплотил команды.

The 9^th day

Our 9^th day in “Druzhina” was fantastic!

Best pupils were rewarded with an excursion to Suzdal.

We visited the Kremlin of Suzdal where we saw a magnificent cathedral of the Nativity of the Theotokos built in the beginning of the XIIIth century. We learned the history of this unique monument, belonging to the best samples of the ancient Russia architecture, watched
respectfully its frescoes and its icons, prayed at the relics of our Reverend Father Arseniy Suzdalskiy and listened to the harmonious singing of the choir “Blagovest”.

In the evening we had an excellent contest “Hey, boys!”, all the participants of it turned out to be skillful and strong.

In the night one more game of Hungry Games series was prepared for us: orienting on the camp territory. It was a real challenge, but it was extremely interesting and captivating!

Девятый день

Девятый день в “Дружине» был просто потрясающим!

Лучшие ученики были награждены экскурсией в Суздаль.

Мы посетили суздальский Кремль, где увидели величественный Собор Рождества Богородицы, построенный в начале XIII столетия. Мы узнали историю этого уникального памятника древнерусского зодчества, с благоговением осмотрели его фрески и иконы, помолились у мощей преподобного Арсения Суздальского и послушали стройное пение хора «Благовест».

Вечером у нас был отличный конкурс «А ну-ка, мальчики!», в котором все участники показали себя ловкими и сильными.

Ночью же нас ждала новая игра из серии «Голодные игры»: ориентирование на территории лагеря. Это было непросто, но необычайно интересно и захватывающе!

The 10^th day

Our tenth day was wonderful.

An excellent weather helped it a lot.

Besides, a new group of pupils, best in studying English language was rewarded with an excursion to Suzdal again. Everyone was impressed with the tour in Suzdal Kremlin with its permanent and temporary expositions.

In the evening there was a contest “Hey, girls!”, all its participants were nice and performed very well.

Десятый день

Наш десятый получился замечательный.

Этому способствовала отличная погода.

Кроме того, новая группа учеников за особые успехи в изучении английского языка была награждена поездкой в Суздаль. Очень впечатлил всех осмотр ансамбля Суздальского Кремля с его выставочными экспозициями.

Вечером состоялся конкурс «А ну-ка, девочки!», в котором все участницы выступили очень достойно.

The 11th day

It was a special day in the camp today.

In spite of the rainy, windy and cold weather, the day turned out to be very warm and it was a day to remember.

In the morning the Father Oleg announced to all the “Druzhina” that today we would write compositions

“Greater love has no one than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends”. There are some quotations from our compositions:

“We should know that love is always a capacity to sacrifice”.
“A friend indeed is the God’s gift”.
«Love helps people to survive».
“Life without love and friendship is nothing”.
“We should do good things for our friends and all the neighbours”.

Одиннадцатый день

Сегодня в лагере был особый день.

Несмотря на дождливую, ветреную и холодную погоду, день получился очень теплым и запоминающимся.

Утром Отец Олег объявил всей дружине, что сегодня мы будем писать сочинение на тему

«Но нет больше любви той, чем положить жизнь за други своя».

Вот некоторые цитаты из наших сочинений:

«Мы должны знать, что любовь это всегда способность жертвовать собой».
«Настоящий друг – дар от Бога».
«Любовь помогает людям выживать».
«Жизнь без любви и дружбы не имеет смысла».
«Мы должны делать добро нашим друзьям и всем ближним».

The 12^th day

This day was wonderful and amazing.

The cold morning was changed by the warm day, and 3 our groups went to Vladimir where they watched an interesting film.

And in the evening all “Druzhina” went camping to the saint spring, carrying ahead the icon of Saint Sergius Radonezhskiy and the icons of Saints Nikon Radonezhskiy, Savva Storozhevskiy, Kirill Belozersky, Pavel Obnorskiy and Andronik Moskovskiy.

Having passed long but joyful way, the pilgrims settled in a beautiful environment and prayed at the new place. Then a common dinner was prepared for everyone next to the night fire.

Двенадцатый день

Этот день был чудесным и удивительным.

На смену холодному утру пришел теплый день, и три наши группы совершили поездку во Владимир, где посмотрели интересное кино.

А вечером вся «Дружина» отправилась в поход к святому источнику, неся хоругвь с образом преподобного Сергия Радонежского и флаги с изображениями святых Никона Радонежского, Саввы Сторожевского, Кирилла Белозерского, Павла Обнорского и Андроника Московского.

Пройдя немалый, но радостный путь, паломники расположились на природе и помолились на новом месте. Далее всех ждала совместная трапеза у ночного костра.

The 13^th day

Our morning in the natural environment was fine.

All the campers prayed at the moleben with reading the akafist to Saint Sergius Radonezhskiy, and peaceful with the prayer they started their way back home.

Having returned, the campers had rest a little and visited their English classes.

In the evening all “Druzhina” was preparing for the Holy Communion: all the prayers were read, and there was a confession for everyone.

Тринадцатый день

Утро на природе было прекрасным.

Все участники похода помолились во время молебна с чтением акафиста преподобному Сергию Радонежскому, и умиротворенные молитвой отправились в обратный путь.

Вернувшись в лагерь, путники немного отдохнули, затем пошли на уроки английского языка.

Вечером вся «Дружина» подготовилась к причастию: были прочитаны все молитвы, и состоялась исповедь. 

The 14^th day

Today was a deeply spiritual day and a captivating and touching one at the same time.

In the morning all the pupils prayed together at the Liturgy, which was served by Father Oleg, and were deemed worthy of taking the Holy Communion in the church of the village Maloye Davydovskoye.

In the day time all the teams with great enthusiasm took part in the following series of “Hungry Games”, which unified the elements of many childish games, different and well-known.

And in the evening all the participants of the English shift took part in the final concert next to the night fire. With the great warmth all the pupils altogether with their  teamleaders and their teachers were singing songs, reciting poems and performing funny and touching scenes in English.

When it got dark, a Chinese lantern in the form of a big red heart was launched into the sky, its flight was accompanied by the accords of the song “Scarlet sails”.

Четырнадцатый день

Сегодняшний день был духовным, захватывающим и трогательным одновременно.

Утром все учащиеся помолились на Литургии, которую отслужил отец Олег, и удостоились Святого Причастия в храме села Малое Давыдовское.

Днем все отряды с большим энтузиазмом поучаствовали в очередной серии «Голодных игр», в которой оказались соединены элементы разных, всеми любимых детских игр.

А вечером все участники английской смены собрались на финальный концерт около ночного костра. С особой теплотой учащиеся вместе с вожатыми и учителями пели песни на английском языке, читали стихи, представляли смешные и трогательные сценки.

Когда совсем стемнело, в небо был выпущен китайский фонарик в виде большого красного сердца под аккорды песни «Алые паруса».

The 15^th day

The last day of our wonderful shift has come.

A quiet breakfast, a noisy cleaning of the houses, moleben and Father’s Oleg precept to everyone for a road.

Friendly hugs, memorable inscriptions on the T-shirts and caps and promises to meet again in “Druzhina” and to continue studying English.

Пятнадцатый день 

Вот и наступил последний день нашей замечательной смены.

Тихий завтрак, шумная уборка домиков, совместный молебен и напутственное слово отца Олега на дорогу.

Дружеские объятия, памятные надписи на футболках и бейсболках и обещания непременно встретиться в «Дружине» снова и изучать английский язык.
